Mangalore: Theft at home – complainant's son arrested

Mangalore, Jul 30: The police have succeeded in cracking a case of theft which occurred at Shivagiri Nagar, Suratkal Hosabettu sometime back.

Relating to the theft of gold and cash, the son of the complainant was arrested and the gold ornaments were recovered. During the day on July 11, gold ornaments worth about a lac of and Rs 10,000 cash was missing from the house of a local named Surendra in Shivagiri Nagar when no one was at home.

The police who began questioning the concerned, got a scent about the involvement of the complainant's son in the theft. When Munna alias Sandeep (29), who lived with his parents, was confronted and interrogated, he reportedly confessed about his involvement in the theft.

Sandeep told the police that he committed the theft to clear a loan raised for throwing a party for his friends. The gold ornaments which he had pledged to a financing firm have been confiscated by the police. Sandeep reportedly said he had already spent the money. He was produced in the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Police sub-­inspector M A Nataraj, crime branch sub-­inspector Rajendra B and assistant sub-inspector Vijayaraj along with other personnel were involved in the investigation.

    How old is this fellow?He should shame for his deeds to throw a Party for his friends took a loan and later stealed his own parents to finance it .why he did not work for it?at 29years still without Job?He could have asked his parents instead of stealing.Now his Name ,or his parents Name is everywhere spread.Young man wake up ,and do something for your parents Money to give back.Any work will do.it is not ashaming to work but stealing own parents is not admired.
