Mangalore, Aug 20: The collection of Muliya Thimappaiah’s poems and essays was released at a function organized in the Xavier Block of St Aloysius College here recently.

The Kannada Sangha of the college in association with “Dasajana,” had organized the function in which singer Thonse Pushkal Kumar gave a vocal recital. Kumar sang a few poems and a Yakshagana song.

Prof Giraddy Govinda Rao, noted litterateur and a retired professor of English from Karnataka University, Dharwad, released the book.

Dr Na Da Shetty, president of the Kannada Sangha, Dr Shrinivas Havanoor, senior research scholar and Erya Laxminarayna Bhat were also present.
