Mangalore: Dance Mania-5, state-level dance competition to be held on August 31

Mangalore, Aug 2: Western Institute of Technology and Sizzliong Guys Dance Studio will organize a state level inter-school and collegiate dance competition 'Dance Mania-5.'

Famous Kannada and Tamil actress Shubha Punja will be present for the competition. Kannada movie Choreographer Madan Harini will be the judge at the contest. Western trophies and Rs 2 lac will be provided to the winner.

The dance competition will take place in Mangalore at Town hall on August 31. Prior to the competition, the contestants are asked to take part compulsorily in the audition. Auditions will be held on August 3, at Bindu Auditorium, 3rd floor, near Vedasudha Ayurvedic Hospital, Karandkad, Kasargod, August 9 in Town Hall, Puttur, August 10 Anantha Padmanabha Hall Kundapur, August 16 Samaja Mandir Moodbidri, August 17 Town Hall, Madikeri, August 23 Prakash Hotel, Karkala, August 24, Upendra Pai Memorial College hall, Udupi and August 30 Town Hall Mangalore. Auditions will be held from morning 10 am to evening 5 pm.

Students of classes first to fourth can take part in Solo Sub Juniors section, fifth to tenth in the Solo Juniors section and PUC, degree, diploma and masters in the Solo Senior section.

"Regarding group sections, for the under junior section below tenth grade students and under senior section, above tenth grade students are allowed to participate," said Western Institute of Technology president Walter Stephan Mendis.
