Mangalore, Aug 22: The result of over speeding brought pain, misery and loss to several. A gruesome road mishap that took place at around 7.10 am in the city injured several.

 

Two buses carrying passengers bumped into each other near the Mahaveera Circle at Pumpwell on Tuesday, Aug 22.

 

City bus No 42 which was plying between Mangalore and Ullal crashed into a private bus plying between Bangalore and Kundapur. Both the buses had passengers.

 

Eye witnesses told Daijiworld, that the speeding city bus moved down the sloppy road between Bendorewell junction and Pumpwell and bumped into the other bus which was moving around the Mahaveera Circle at the start of the Nantoor Highway.

 

While several traveling in the city bus have been injured, the driver of the bus is said to have had severe leg injuries.

 

None of the passengers traveling in the Bangalore-Kundapur bus sustained major injures. However, the bus, due to the impact was dragged towards a huge water drain, but escaped a fall into it.

 

The injured have been admitted to Omega Hospital.
