Udupi, Aug 23: Bajrang Dal has demanded the government to vacate the Muslim tombs from the historic Datta Peetha situated at Baba Budangiri in Chikamagalur district.
This was announced by a Bajrang Dal state convener Mahendra Kumar at a press conference held here on Wednesday August 23 morning.
He said that these tombs have been illegally established at Datta Peetha and that they should be transferred to Nagenahally. He criticized the government for its negligence towards the Datta Peetha problem and said that Bajrang Dal will not rest till the problem is solved and a favourable decision is taken.
Bajrang Dal Mangalore unit convener Rajgopal Rai, Udupi district convener Madhukar Mudradi were also present on the occasion.
