Mangalore, Aug 24: A host of competitions under Suvarna Pratibha Karanji 2006-07 took off at UBMC high school Bokkapatna under the aegis of Gandhinagar Cluster.
The event which was set rolling on Monday, Aug 22 was inaugurated by Rev Samuel Jatanna, treasurer of DK Province.
S D Aiman, president of the regional unit, Shashipal Shettian, secretary of the Education society, Rev John Amanna of the Vishranti Sevalaya, Vincy Bangera, UBMC school convener, Meenakshi, Abdul Aziz, SDMC vice president, W E Palan and V G Pal were present on the occasion.
UBMC headmistress Asha welcomed the gathering while Mohan Shetty Boloor proposed the vote of thanks.
The Suvarna Pratibha Karanji had various competitions including Urdu, English, Kannada and Sanskrit recitation, story telling, action song, light music and clay modeling competitions.
