Mangalore, Aug 24: Demanding complete ban on Coca-cola and Pepsi in the State, the activists of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarti Parishad (ABVP) organized a protest here on Wednesday, Aug 23.

Over 150 students took out a mock funeral of Coca-Cola and PepsiCo and burnt a cutout of Pepsi Bottle along with a crate of the soft drink near PVS building.


Claiming that the drink has high levels of pesticides in it, the activists demand complete ban of the drink in the state.

The protest rally moved in major roads of Mangalore and during this rally, the soft drink was poured on the roads as a mark of protest.

The police had to intervene to facilitate smooth movement of traffic.
