Mangalore, Aug 24: Having given a call to hold a day-long strike in all colleges around the state, Student Federation of India (SFI) staged protest in front of the deputy commissioner's office here on Thursday August 24 morning.

The students who gathered in front of the DC's office shouted slogans and displayed banners protesting the government's policies.  They demanded for equal opportunities for all and quality education in all the institutions.

SFI animators Dayanand, Ashok Konchady too participated and led the protest.
