Mangalore, Aug 27: Peoples’ Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) has demanded stringent action against the police personnel who were involved in the alleged assault of a student in the Bajpe police station.

The district president of PUCL, P B D’Sa has demanded the suspension of the head constable Seenappa and other police constables.

According to D’Sa, the trio had assaulted Nisham of Ansar High School, Bajpe.

The Rama, Bharath and Krishna are the other constables.  

According to sources, one constable has been suspended while others have been temporarily transferred to another station.
