Mangalore: Serial thefts at Boliyar; items worth Rs 2 lac stolen

Mangalore, Aug 10: Thieves entered into seven shops, including a jewellery shop and decamped with the items worth Rs 2 lac on Saturday August 9 midnight at Boliyar here.

Thieves have stolen 27 grams jewellery, silver, one gram gold ornament from Shrinidhi Jewellery owned by Narayana Achar. They have also stolen two grams jewellery, silver, one gram gold ornament from Avinash Jewellery owned by Dhanjay Achar. 


From the footwear store belonging to Naufal, thieves have stolen the amount of Rs 13000 and footwears. 

Amount of Rs 2000 have been stolen from thesaloon belonging to Sandeep. 

From the chicken farm belonging to Mosa Kunhi and the grocery shop belonging to Keshava Bhandary, thieves have stolen Rs 10000 and various things. Even they broke into the plywood shop belonging to Majeed. 

They have also attempted to get into Mahalasa Sweets Shop.

It is said that the thieves got into the shops after breaking the door locks. 

Konaje police have visited the spot.
