Daijiworld 24x7 host Lavita Lobo wins Big Golden Voice regional round

Mangalore, Aug 10: Lavita Lobo, anchor with Daijiworld 24x7 TV channel, has won the finals of the regional round of Benedryl Big Golden Voice. With this, she has been nominated to enter into the next round to be held in Mumbai.

The finals of the Mangalore regional round was organized by 92.7 Big FM, Dakshina Kannada's most heard FM station on Saturday, August 9 at City Centre Mall here.

Big Golden Voice is a unique format of on air singing reality show introduced by Big FM, which has been conducted in all 45 stations in India.

This time the listeners had to register through interactive voice response (IVR). In Mangalore, the participants had to register by singing a Tulu song. Big FM, Mangalore received tremendous response from the listeners as importance was given to the regional Tulu songs.

Srinivas, Pallavi, Lavita Lobo, Divya Cutinha were chosen for the finals which was held in Mangalore City Centre mall on Saturday.

Nithin Acharya, Voice of Bangalore Season-5 winner, music director and singer was the judge. Actress and model, Deekshita Acharya of 'Rang' Tulu movie fame, presented the trophy to the winner.

The top 12 city winners from across the nation will be called to Mumbai for the next round. The winner of Benedryl Big Golden Voice will get a chance to work with composer-vocalist Shankar Mahadevan.

RJ Varsha, RJ Errol, RJ Roopesh, Dafnal, Sonali Shetty from City Centre and others were present on the occasion.
