Bhatkal, Aug 12: Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan visited Bhatkal to attend the marriage function of his friend Naveed, son of Sadullah Ruknaddin at Hanifabad, Bhatkal, on Monday August 11.
Pathan arrived on Monday afternoon around 3 pm and stayed at a resort. However, his visit was kept a closely-guarded secret.
Pathan was on a private visit and did not give any interview to the media. He is the 5th Indian cricket player to visit Bhatkal.
On July 26, 2009, Sachin Tendulker participated in the marriage function of his close friend Umair Naitey at Nawayath Colony, Bhatkal, while on July 11, 2010, Yousuf Pathan attended a marriage function at Kimiya House, Bhatkal.
Wasim Jafar and Syed Kirmani have also visited Bhatkal as chief guests at the Royal Cup in 2007.
