Mangalore, Sep 3: ‘Pragati - ‘Changing Business Horizons in Coastal Karnataka’, a symposium to understand the complex situation that is emanating in the region and what needs to be done to facilitate business in harmony with nature, has been planned on Sep 4.

The one-day programme aims organized by the Management Club, Aloysius Institute of Business Administration (AIBA), St Aloysius College aims at creating an interest in the minds of students who are the people who will pave the path of the future of Coastal Karnataka.

Prominent speakers from the industry and environmentalists for their perspectives will be available at the symposium. The event will be inaugurated by Anantakrishna, Chairman of Karnataka Bank Ltd.
 
M B Padiyar, General Manager, KIOCL and KISCO and Niren Jain, Coordinator, Kudremukh Wild Life Foundation will be the resource persons for the first session on “Kudremukh - Treasure above and below.”
Giridhar Prabhu, proprietor of Achal Industries and former president of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Premananda Kalmady, president, Parisarasaktara Okkuta will deal with the subject “Mega Projects in Coastal Karnataka.”

The last session on “Is Mangalore’s Infrastructure prepared for Growth?” will be dealt by Narendran K, vice-president Infosys Technologies and Leo Saldanha, founding trustee and co-coordinator for Environment Protection Group.
