Kaup, Sep 4: A district-level competition for teachers on the eve of the Teachers' Day, hosted by the Kaup Rotary Club, was held in the Shri Narayana Guru Sabha Bhavan here on Sunday.
Over 200 teachers from 20 schools from different schools proved that they too can perform as efficiently as the students. It was the turn of the students to enjoy watching the teaching community perform on the stage. Several categories like dance, singing, Yakshagana glimpses etc. brought out a variety of talents in the teachers.
MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik inaugurated the event. Rotary deputy governor Abubaker and retired headmaster Jinaraj Shetty were guests on the occasion.
Mahalakshmi English Medium School, Uchila stood first in the overall performance while Dandatirtha English Medium School, Kaup were the runners-up.
