Karkala, Sep 5: Venkappa Poojary (58), a resident of Bejakala near Nitte here was hacked to death by some unidentified men on Monday September 4 night. His body was found at Kemmannu Cross near Nitte on Tuesday September 5 morning.
Though nothing more is known about the murder, Venkappa Poojary who was an employee with Lamina Group was forcefully taken out of his house by some persons on Monday night. Thereafter he did not return home. It was only on Tuesday morning that he was found murdered. He had been stabbed by some sharp weapon which resulted in excessive bleeding and finally his death.
Karkala police have registered a case in this regard. More details are yet awaited.
