Kundapur, Sep 5: In another shocking incident a mother ended her life by jumping into a well along with her one-year-old child at Bijoor on Monday September 4.

Devaki (30), wife of Rama Poojary committed suicide with her child Vrattika on Monday.  She went to the nearby well to wash clothes on Monday when other members of the family were out on their personal work.  However, instead of washing clothes, she is said to have jumped into the well.

It was only much later that the family members started searching her after she did not come home for long.  When they came near the well, they found clothes there and after a brief search they also found Devaki and Vrattika in the well.

Rama had married Devaki 8 years ago and the couple had 3 children.  She committed suicide along with her youngest child.  It is said that Devaki was under depression for the last one year.  But as of now, no reasons are known for the suicide.

The Byndoor police have registered a case in this regard.
