Mangalore, Sep 5: An issue that has seen constant agitation for 40 years now, saw another protest on Monday September 4 when residents of Urwa Store-Sunkadakatte gathered in front of the tahsildar's office to demand title deeds for their properties.

Though the title deeds were provided in 2003, the space around the houses was not included.

Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) secretary Ashok Konchadi while addressing the protesters, alleged that the administration is neglecting their needs in spite of repeated demands.

Following the protests, the tahsildar assured the agitators that action would be taken in this regard and title deeds would be provided within 15 days.

DYFI leaders including Rama Kotyan, Nagaraj Suvarna took part in the protest.
