Mangalore, Sep 7: Two British citizens were arrested on Sep 6 by the Mangalore North Police for not possessing valid travel documents like Passport, Visa, or Registration Card. They have been booked under the Foreigners Act, 1946.

Ebrahim Dhansey alias Kevin (51) and Rita Kaur (49) both residents of Bristol, United Kingdom were arrested. The couple was staying in a local Hotel in Mangalore for the last two months. A one and a half year old female child was also with them.

It is learnt that both of them came to India in 2004 and since then have been traveling to various places in India.

Both the accused were produced before the Jurisdictional Judicial Magistrate and police custody for Ebrahim Dhansey is being sought for detailed enquiry.
