Udupi, Sep 8: Two unidentified men held a woman on gunpoint and robbed gold ornaments and cash from her house.
This incident was reported in the house of Sudha Ganiga (30) at Kerekatte, Hosangadi under Shankaranarayana police station limits.
The burglars knocked on the door of the house asking for water to drink. While the lady went to bring water, the culprits caught her by her hair and threatened her at gun point, demanding for the almirah keys.
Later they robbed her of her gold ornaments worth Rs 87,500 and cash Rs 2,500 from the almirah.
As soon as the information reached the Shankaranarayana Police, the PSI along with staff rushed to the spot and launched a man hunt for the accused.
The culprits are still at large. In this connection a robbery case has been registered in the police station and investigation is on.
