Kundapur, Sep 9: In another ghastly accident at Naikankatte near Byndoor here, two persons were killed on the spot in the late hours of Friday September 8.  The reports also stated that one more person has sustained critical injuries and is admitted to the hospital.

The accident occurred when a mobike went and rammed into a manganese ore lorry at Naikankatte.  It is said that the lorry driver applied breaks to lorry suddenly after seeing a stationary lorry at the last minute. However, the mobike which was just behind the manganese ore lorry went and rammed into it.

It is said that there were 3 persons in the mobike.  Out of the deceased, one has been identified as Harish Poojary (30), son of Manju Poojary of Byndoor.  Harish was a driver in Vandana bus.  Another person who was killed in the accident is said to be hailing from Koteshwar but was running a bakery in Bangalore.  More details about the deceased and the injured are awaited.

Gangolli police have registered a case in this regard and have already arrested lorry driver.
