Mangalore, Sep 10: A girl was drowned when she accidentally fell into a pond near her house at Enmur village. Soumya (17) is said to have fallen into the pond between Sep 6 and Sep 8. She is a resident of Sullia taluk. A case has been registered in Sullia police station.

In Moodbidri, one Jerome Pinto, aged 55 died after he accidentally fell into a pond. According to a case registered with the Moodbidri police station the accident took place on Sep 8 at 9 am. Jerome was a resident of Kudripadavu Kallamundkur.

Another case of unnatural death has been registered in the Beltangady police station where Laxmi (26) a resident of Manila House Sirlalu village Beltangady Taluk was admitted to Beltangady Health Centre for delivery. As her condition deteriorated she was being shifted for further treatment to Mangalore. She however breathed her last on the way to Mangalore.

Ishwarappa Pathar (31) committed suicide by hanging himself from the room of the Sharavati Guest House Dharmastala in Beltangady Taluk. The reason for his suicide has not been known.
