Mangalore, Sep10: Kalkura Foundation will organize a state "Krishna Vesha Sparde" at Kadri Sri Manjunatha temple here on Thursday, Sep 14.
The annual event held as part of Gokulashtami celebrations will be held for the 22nd year, informed president of the foundation Pradeep Kumar Kalkura.
The competitions will be held in seven categories. The Muddukrishna contest is for toddlers under three years, Balakrishna is for children from anganwadis and LKG. Sri Krishna is for children in 2, 3 and 4 standards while the Yakshakrishna is only with Yakshagana costumes. The Radhakrishna contest is for children up to 7 standard and the Yashoda Krishna is a new in which a mother and child can participate together.
The programme will be inaugurated with a yakshagana show by young artistes of K Shivarama Karant Yakshagana, Kendra Saligram.

Kalkura also announced the photography competition conducted as a part of the Krishna Vesha Sparde last year. G K Hegde, Sheikh Hasin I G and Anand Bakshi won the first, second and third places, respectively in the contest.
