Mangalore Sep 13: The Barke police has arrested a quark who was operating in the city. On Monday, Sep 11, the fake doctor who has been found conducting free test for breast cancer for college students was held.

 

Sharath Kumar (58), a resident of Jyothi Nagar in Kavoor has been visiting the colleges of the city and conducting free tests for breast cancer. On Sep 8, he and his assistant Sunita had visited Canara P U College with similar interests. The fake doctor had collected Rs 25 from each student towards his mission to bring about awareness on breast cancer. The principal K Gopal Nair who suspected him to be true informed the police. However, the police had to return empty handed as Kumar had left the campus before their arrival.

On Monday evening, he was arrested. A total sum of Rs 19,300 and documents were obtained from him.
