Mangalore, Sep 13: 
As part of its social outreach programme and in view of Gandhi Jayanti on Monday October 2, the Mangalore Gandhi Study Centre is organizing an on-the-spot drawing competition for school children on Sunday September 17.  The competition is organized in association with Artists Combine, and will be held at Shivaram Karanth hall in the University College here.

This was announced by Ganesh Somayaji, president, Artists Combine, at a press meet here on Tuesday September 12.

The theme for the competition will be ‘Gandhiji and freedom struggle’ and ‘Gandhiji’s portrait’ for V, VI, VII and VIII, IX, X standard, respectively.

Selected drawings will be exhibited in Prasad Art Gallery, Ballalbagh here.
