Rain drenches Delhi again, more likely Thursday


New Delhi, Sep 3 (IANS): Rain drenched the national capital Wednesday. The Met department has forecast a cloudy Thursday with more rain and thunderstorms in many parts of the city.

The maximum temperature of the day was recorded at 33.2 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.

The city received 2.2 mm rainfall till 5.30 p.m. Wednesday.

"Delhi will see a cloudy Thursday with more rain. The day will be pleasant," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Thursday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 32 degrees and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Wednesday's minimum temperature settled at 26.1 degrees, average for this time of the season.

The city experienced similar weather Tuesday. The maximum temperature was 34.3 degrees Celsius, after a spell of light rain, while the minimum settled at 26.3 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
