Mangalore, Sep 14: Gerald Fernandes (71), past president of Christian Life Communities (CLC) of Mangalore diocese and proprietor of Coastal Cashew Trading Company was honoured by CLC on Sunday September 10 at Bondel Church Hall.

Fr Antony Serrao, parish priest of St Lawrence Church, Bondel honoured Gerald Fernandes with a shawl.  CLC spiritual director Fr Gilbert Saldanha, SJ, president Stephen Quadros were also present on the occasion.

Stephen Quadros welcomed the gathering and spoke in glowing terms of the services rendered by Gerald Fernandes during the term of his office as president, 40 years back.  Gerlad was also the president of SACAA (St Aloysius College Alumni Association), St Vincent De Paul Society (SVP), Bendore and other associations and has rendered yeoman service to the Catholic community.

Gerald Fernandes thanked all for remembering his services in spite of long years that have passed.
