Rainy Friday in Delhi


New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS) It was a pleasant Friday in the national capital as parts of the city received light rain early morning and the sky remained partly cloudy.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.

The Met Office has forecast more showers during the day.

"Rain and thundershowers are expected to lash parts of the city and the sky will remain partly cloudy through the day," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.

The city has received 13.3 mm of rainfall since Thursday while the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 86 percent.

Thursday was pleasant too as the maximum temperature was recorded two notches below the season's average at 32.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 25 degrees Celsius, slightly below the season's average.
