Mangalore, Sep 16: The police led by DySP Harishchandra raided Navayug Recreation Club operating in City Plaza at Bendorewell and arrested 16 persons who were playing andar-bahar on Friday September 15.
The arrested have been identified as Salim of Bajal, Imtiaz, a resident of Bastipadpu, Sanjay from Thokkottu, Harish Shetty from B C Road, Lancy Pinto from Valencia, Rohit of Alape, Samshuddin of Gorigudda, Sitaram, a resident of Valencia, Rajesh from Falnir, Santhosh, Suresh, Ashok, Mohammad and Suresh from Shaktinagar.
The police have also seized Rs 29,356 from them. The Kadri police have registered a case in this regard.
