10 killed in Istanbul construction site accident

Istanbul, Sep 7 (IANS): At least 10 workers were killed in an elevator accident at a construction site here in Turkey.

The workers were killed when the elevator of a 42-floor building broke down in Istanbul, Xinhua reported Sunday.

Istanbul governor Huseyin Avni Mutlu said eight officials, who were held responsible for the accident, were taken into custody.
