Scotland: St Mary's Cathedral Aberdeen celebrates Monthi fest

Scotaland, Sep 9: Aberdeen Konkans gathered at St Mary’s Cathedral to celebrate Monthi Fest on Sunday September 7.

Dr Maxim welcomed the gathering and thanked them for their contribution. Roshan Fernandes explained the history of this festival and importance of celebrating it as a family feast. Fr Keith and Fr William cut a cake to mark Mother Mary’s birthday.

Juliana D’Costa welcomed the gathering to this celebration. Fr Keith, Cathedral Administrator blessed the new corn. Children showered the flowers while the congregation sang hymns to Mother Mary.

    Thanks Aberdeen konkans for this wonderful celebration. Best part of it was raising rupees 50,000 for 'Asha Jyothi' Arnold children home/ AIDS care centre run by SVD priests in Hyderabad. Thanks again, and thanks Daijiworld for publishing this.
