Puttur, Sep 19: A senior citizen died of electrocution at Kalleri Kaje near Uppinangady here on Monday September 18.
Rukmayya (70), a resident of Kalleri Kaje was electrocuted in his coconut garden. He was trying to remove the livewire which had fallen on a coconut tree in his garden. As he was removing it, he suddenly came in contact with the livewire.
As a result he was electrocuted on the spot and died. The Uppinangady police have registered a case in this regard as per the complaint filed by Rukmayya's son Krishnappa Gowda.
