Puttur, Sep 19: Peeved by constant delay in starting the much-expected Mangalore-Bangalore passenger train, the ABVP activists held rail roko in the railway station here on Tuesday September 19.
The ABVP activists, who arrived at the railway station, stopped the train and protested. They criticized the government for continuously delaying the much-needed train service between Mangalore and state capital.
Protestors further said that both state and union governments have only been giving assurance to the people but have done precious little towards resuming the service. "If they still continue to do so, we would stop trains at Mangalore, Sakleshpur, Hassan and other places in the coming days," said ABVP district conveners Raghavendra Nayak and Lakshmi Prasanna.
