Kasargod, Sep 10: Auto and taxi drivers decided to hold a state wide protest on Thursday September 11, for several of their demands including the increase in fare.

The workers union has alleged that the government had assured them of fulfilling their demands when they had proposed to hold protests in
July this year but the promises are yet to be fulfilled.

The Auto and taxi area is facing hardships due to increase in the price of petroleum products, insurance premium and other expenses. The
workers unions have threatened of intensifying protests if the demands are not met. INTUC, BMS, STU, HMS and other organizations have also called for protests.
