Kundapur, Sep 22: A cycle rider Surendra Pai aged 61 years was knocked down by a lorry on Sep 20 at around 7.15 pm on NH 17 in Nandanavana Village here.
In the hit-and-run case, the lorry driver has still not been nabbed. Due to the impact of the accident, Pai succumbed to injuries.
A case has been registered in Byndoor police station.
In another incident a pedestrian Suresh Poojary (22) succumbed to injuries after he was hit by a scooter. The accident occurred on the same day at 5.30 pm near Ganesh Complex in Hebri village.
In this connection a case has been registered against the scooter rider for rash and negligent riding.
