Moodbidri, Sep 22: The Raitha Sangha here celebrated Organic Agriculture Day recently, with the participation of more than 500 agriculturists.

Leading agriculturists like L C Soans, Jeevandhar Kumar, S N Diwakar and others took part in the celebrations.

Latheef Saheb inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The programme was presided over by Zone Farmers Forum president Dhanakeerthi Balipa. Awamy from North Karnataka delivered a day-long lecture on the subject of organic agriculture.

Among those present was district secretary of the forum Sunny D'Souza.
