Two Muslim groups clash near Mahaveer College at Moodbidri

Moodbidri, Sep 13: Two Muslim groups clashed near Mahaveera College here on Thursday, Sep 11 night. Both the groups have lodged police complaint against each other.

The complaint stated that when Nazeer was travelling in the auto belonging to Insiyaz from Kotebagilu to Mahaveera College, Rahman and Ilyas came by bikes, waylaid the auto and assaulted Insiyaz and Nazeer. Rahman has lodged a counter complaint.

Sources said that the enmity between SSF and SK groups in the mosque is said to be the reason for the clash.

Moodbidri police station has registered both the complaints.
