Udupi, Sep 14: S A Razak Master(75), popularly known as Razak Master in Padubidri area passed away on Thursday September 11 after a brief illness.

He had started his career as a teacher in KREC Primary School. He served as the headmaster of Padubidri Urdu Aided Higher Primary School for nearly 35 years. He was awarded the best teacher award in the district during the year 92-93.

He participated in complete literacy campaigns in Padubidri, Nandikooru, Falimaru, Mudarangadi and Hajmady. He devoted himself to education by educating the masses. He was congratulated by the education department. He was also appreciated as the best speaker.

After his retirement, he served as the student officer in Yenepoya Dental College, Al Ehsan Academy School under Sunny Center, convener of Faizul Islam School in Shirva, public relation officer of Crescent English Medium School, Kalathur besides involving himself in social work.

He was the founder director of Padubidri Junior Chamber. He was the honorary president, convener and honorary advisor of several social and educational organizations.

He has left behind his wife, three sons, two daughters, two brothers, a sister and a large number of pupils.

Padubidri Urdu School and Surathkal KREC Primary School declared holiday as a mark of respect for him. Several elite people have expressed their condolences on his demise.
