Mangalore, Sep 25: National Service Scheme (NSS) Day was celebrated by Mangalore University in SDM Law College here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion the inaugurator of the event KSHEMA Dean Dr M Shantaram Shetty said that corruption which is rampant in all fields must be rooted out by conscious efforts. Students have a major role in achieving this goal, he added.
Chairman of Alva’s Education Trust Dr M Mohan Alva who was the chief guest lamented on the wide gap between the rich and the poor which is also seen in the education section.
Mangalore University Registrar K Sundar Naik and SDM College principal K Devaraj were also present at the programme.
