Sunny Monday in Delhi, Tuesday to be partly cloudy


New Delhi, Sep 15 (IANS): It was a sunny Monday in the national capital with the maximum temperature recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average. The Met department has forecast a partly cloudy Tuesday.

"Tuesday is likely to be partly cloudy. Thundershowers are expected in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 degrees and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Monday's minimum temperature was recorded three notches below the season's average at 22.5 degrees Celsius.

Sunday's maximum and minimum temperatures settled a degree above the season's average at 34.8 degrees Celsius and 25.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
