Mangalore, Sep 26: The residents of Bajal, Padil and Faisalnagar and surrounding area led by Sri Ram Sene staged protest against the bad condition of Bajal road on Monday September 25.
The agitators prohibited buses from plying on the road throughout the day on Monday. The road connecting Padil, Bajal, Veeranagara, Faisalnagar, Pakkaladka, Jalligudde etc is in pathetic condition with potholes.
"Despite several protests, demands and appeals, the concerned persons have not shown interest in repairing the road. So we have no other way than blocking the road. All the residents and even the bus owners who ply their buses on this route are with us and we would take suitable action, if there is still negligence on the part of the officials," said the agitators.
Sri Ram Sene leaders Harish Padil, Anand Shetty Adyar and others led the protest.
