Mangalore, Sep 26: Konkani Theatre Training Camp organized by Maandd Sobhaann was inaugurated at Kalaangann on Saturday September 23. The nine-day camp will be held upto Sunday October 1.
Children theatre expert Ivan D'Silva is the main trainer for the camp. He is also assisted by Kingsley Nazareth and Murari. Noted Konkani actor Arun Raj Rodrigues in the director of the camp.
Well-known Kannada playwright B V Karanth's play "Pinjara Shaale" has been adapted to Konkani. The play has been translated to Konkani by Rony Crasta. Pinjara Shaale has been re-made as 'Pinjrea Iskol' and would be presented by the trainees during the 58 monthly theatre programme at Kalaangann on Sunday October 1 evening.
