Mangalore: chief officer and nominated member file complaint against each other

Mangalore, Sep 17: Complaint and counter complaint were lodged in Mulky police station by the chief officer of the town panchayat, Mulky and its nominated member Ashok Poojar, against each other on Tuesday September 16.

The chief officer of the town panchayat said in his complaint that the nominated member obstructed him from discharging his duties and mentally harassed him. Vani Alva, chief officer of the town panchayat and other staff of the panchayat claimed that nominated member of the panchayat Ashok suddenly barged into the office and obstructed the employees from doing their duty.

Ashok, in his counter complaint said that Vani Alva, panchayat engineer, Padmanabha and health officer Rajesh had insulted him by deriding the caste to which he belonged.

A case has been registered under SC &ST (prevention of atrocities) Act.
