Curfew imposed in Rawalpindi


Islamabad, Sep 19 (IANS): Authorities in Pakistan's Rawalpindi city imposed 48-hour curfew Friday following intelligence reports of terrorist threats.

The district administration imposed Section 144 in the district for the next 48 hours, Radio Pakistan reported.

The imposition of Section 144 means assembly of four or more people, carrying weapons or any article which may be used as a weapon, use of laud speaker and pillion riding are prohibited.
