Notices to BJP, INLD candidates for advertisements in Gurgaon


Gurgaon, Sep 19 (IANS): The district administration Friday issued notices to two more candidates contesting from Haryana's Pataudi (R) assembly segment for publishing advertisements in various newspapers without prior permission.

They have been asked to reply within 24 hours.

BJP candidate from Pataudi Bimla Chowdhary published an advertisement in a local daily without taking requisite permission from the Returning Officer Pataudi which is mandatory under election rules.

Similarly, INLD candidate and sitting legislator from Pataudi Ganga Ram has also been served notice for getting an advertisement published in a daily without permission.

They have to file their reply to SDM Pataudi Virender Chaudhary who is also the Returning Officer for the assembly segment.

Earlier, Umesh Aggarwal, BJP nominee from Gurgaon assembly seat was also served notice for the same offence.

Assembly elections in Haryana are scheduled Oct 15 and results will be announced Oct 19.
