Middle-aged Delhi couple commits suicide

New Delhi, Sep 19 (IANS): A middle-aged couple committed suicide by hanging themselves from ceiling fans in their house here, police said Friday.

A neighbour Friday evening spotted the bodies of Madhusudan, 55, and Seema, 50, in two separate rooms of their house in the Mayur Vihar area of east Delhi. He then informed the police.

Police said no suicide note was found but the couple was distressed due to financial crisis. Their married daughter lives with her husband.

Madhusudan, a motor mechanic, had borrowed money from several people, police said.
