Another hot day in Delhi, no respite likely Wednesday


New Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS): The national capital experienced another hot and sunny day Tuesday as the maximum temperature settled a degree above the season's average at 35.7 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is expected Wednesday, the Met Office said.

"The sky will remain mainly clear on Tuesday and the afternoon will be warm," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 36 and 24 degrees Celsius

Tuesday morning was sunny while the minimum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 24.5 degrees Celsius.

Monday's maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 35.9 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was a level above the season's average at 25 degrees Celsius.
