Notice to DDA, PWD on lack of sanitation


New Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS): The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has issued notice to the Delhi Development Authority and Public Works Department for inadequate sanitation, a civic official said Tuesday.

"SDMC has adopted zero-tolerance policy towards lack of sanitation and disposal of construction and demolition waste in its all four zones. Municipal magistrates are taking strict action and issuing challans to different organizations," SDMC commissioner Manish Gupta said in a statement.

He said that corporation will also conduct a special drive for "Clean and Green Delhi" Sep 25 to Oct 2.
