Kasargod: Police intensify operation Kubera against money lending business

Kasargod, Sep 23: Kasargod police have intensified operation Kubera against money lending business and have arrested a person with
records related to the business.

The arrested has been identified as K Ashok Kumar (36), resident of Paivalike Kalai. They have seized the Alto car in which he was travelling. He was arrested while the police were on patrol at Karandakkadi on Monday evening September 22.

Ten stamp papers, eight RC books of vehicles, 16 unsigned cheques and other records were recovered from him. It is said that he was conducting the lending business.

Police have said that he has disclosed several details during questioning. He has reportedly said that he was lending loans ranging between Rs 5000 to Rs 5 lacs. However investigation has revealed that he lent several lacs for interest. He is being questioned further.
