Kasargod: Cochin police arrest two suspects for abductiong; robbery

Kasargod, Sep 23: Cochin station police have arrested two suspects for abducting a youth and robbing him of Rs 9,000 in cash and his mobile phone after threatening him.

The arrested are identified as Abdul Latif (24), resident of Uppala near Government school and Nishar (24). Munir (22), resident of Uppala, Sarfuddin (24) and a 17-year-old related to the incident were arrested a few days ago.

Sebastian, resident of Ernakulam Ayyan Kavu was abducted and cash and valuables were robbed from him. The incident occurred in Cochin on August 5. The youth was abducted and robbed by the suspects after getting acquainted with him at Marine drive and taking him to a lodge.
Pratiksh and Mohammed Niyaz who assisted in the act were arrested.

The jewelry was mortgaged by a finance company in Hosangadi. The police have recovered the jewelery from the finance company.
