Karkala, Oct 7: A few students of the late Subraya Kamath Memorial School at Pulkeri near here have called of their strike and are attending classes from Friday October 6.

The students had staged agitation against the BEO order of transferring the school headmistress Benedicta Mathias under false allegation.  A total of 87 students had boycotted the classes and were on strike in the last few days out of them 23 have now come back to the school.

Though the students had boycotted the classes in the beginning, their parents too had stood by them and encouraged them.  On the other hand, a few other locals who had played a major role in transferring the headmistress had complained with the BEO about the ongoing strike of the students.  They had had even promised the students to another teacher.
